It seems that the title captured the attention of the readers commenting their post on this article, which means it was affective enough to grab your attention. I would also say that the article is full of good information explaining other way’s of how to advertise. Yes, the I will put you on the front page of Google is another gimmick cooked up by other marketers trying to market their own services.
Any good SEO company does know that the algorithm changes on a regular basis. This is why having some kind of optimization going on at all times is a necessity. Overall, I think the list of different way’s provided in this article was good and it should make you realize that if your not marketing with some of these other way’s then you should rethink your marketing strategies.
The match type for the search ads is extremely important for running a PPC campaign. If the person creating the match type decides to target a larger audiance then they will set it to broad which means the search term the user inputs does not try to match the exact search keywords. This is why there would be a improper ad displayed. I suppose you might say that if the PPC marketer is inexperienced at creating these campaigns by setting them all to a broad match type then Bing and Yahoo! pay the price because it causes improper ads to be displayed to the user. Lets face it, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo! can not control the PPC marketer and how they create the AdGroups for each campaign.
What also applies is the simple fact that Google has been branded as a search engine from day one, while Microsoft has not been this from the start. Ask yourself this question. Have you ever seen a commercial for Google? As we all know already Microsoft, spends millions advertising their new search engine Bing and I would even go as far as saying most people do not even know that Microsoft has merged Bing and Yahoo!
Google Mull’s Buying Yahoo!
Not only will it be exciting but it will be massive for whatever company takes over all of Yahoo! and responsibilities. I firmly believe that it will impact the small business community in a drastically bad way for the simple fact some businesses have focused more seo on Yahoo! in certain way’s. Plus, the local listing’s for those small businesses would go away as well which could impact small business. Although if those primary search users of Yahoo! were forced to use another search engine they still would be searching but just not on Yahoo! Although there has been no mention of name change’s just yet.
It will be an interesting outcome no matter what happens. As far as FaceBook buying Yahoo!, that would be a good ideal; but what would that matter if FaceBook is closing as of March 15th. of 2012. Now, if FaceBook is sold then that is a completely different story. It would add incredible value to FaceBook so I think FaceBook may want to re-consider selling or at least possibly making this kind of investment.
I must agree with most of the thing’s for this post. It was a tad funny, but I just posted a comment on my blog about CMS. I have played around with and installed several of these systems mentioned above. Primarily Joomla and WP. Joomla’s dashboard is a little confusing at first as stated. After spending some time inside of the Joomla dashboard, it started to get much easier. As far as plugins go, WP has the best overall options. Thought Drupal was to unorganized but the frame work was solid. Another option not mentioned above is CMS Light if you do not like Joomla, Drupal or WP. I believe WP is the easiest and foremost simplest to install, maintain and to find help articles on.
Okay, I took a look at the Sales Lion website and read through some of the content written. I also have seen HubSpot on my own several times in the last year or so. Nice CMS system. This is an easy way such as WP to create and maintain a website. Although it takes time to learn the CMS system and apply it. The same applies to WP. You have to have at least some minimal HTML knowledge, CSS and programming knowledge to get the results you want to achieve. As a Webmaster I install these Content Management Systems and help manage website that use these types of systems.
It is still a time consuming task even for a intermediate tech savvy individual to maintain a website designed by one of these CMS‘s. Also keep in mind that one of the thing’s that makes WP so popular is the fact that it is completely free and can be simple to install even if your a beginner for the most part. But most of these individuals eventually require an experienced Webmaster to design the site for them or they are left with the choices given to them by WP. This industry has made some significant gains in the last 3 years and still continues to remain popular because of the ease of use for most individuals and the fact that these kinds of websites are very search engine friendly.
